Artists' Books at GSA Library Tuesday 15th of February Library Quiet Study Space 5.30pm

This week’s Twilight Classes in the Library provide a unique opportunity to view some of the treasures from the Library’s special collections.

On Tuesday 25th 17.30-18.30 come along to the Quiet Study Space on the top floor of the Library to view works from our Artists’ Books Collection. We are lucky to hold one of Scotland’s largest collections of artists’ books, which can come in many varied forms and structures. They are books conceived and designed by artists, rather than books written on or about artists, and are generally produced through reprographic means for mass distribution. The Library holds a superb and comprehensive collection of artists' books, featuring examples of work by internationally important artists such as Doug Aitken, Angela Bulloch, Olafur Eliasson, David Shrigley, Peter Greenaway, Mike Nelson, and Thomas A. Clark.
