GSA Library Join SUNCAT - Serials Catalogue for Research

The Library have joined SUNCAT, a free online catalogue to help researchers locate serials held in UK libraries. SUNCAT contains information on both print and electronic serials, including journals, periodicals, newspapers, newsletters, magazines, annual reports and other publications of a continuing nature. Essentially, these are all one and the same thing - we refer simply to our serials as magazines!

The Library hold around 200 various magazine titles in the library from 'Architects' Journal' to 'Vogue' between our current issues on Level 1 of the Main Library and our back-runs on Level 0, and in the Mackintosh Library. The contribution of our holdings to SUNCAT is fantastic news, making it easier for others to learn about what resources the Library has to offer and strengthening our influence as a valuable research resource.

We bring the total number of contributing SUNCAT libraries up to 91 and join a growing number of art institutions including the British Film Institute, Edinburgh College of Art, the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) and the Scottish National Gallery Research Library.

Search SUNCAT using the name of the magazine you are looking for here. More news about the resource can be found on the blog here.

You can use the magazines in the Library for reference including photo-copying and taking photographs. Follow the latest news, trends and reviews of exhibitions by browsing our collection.
