Student IT Survey winner and Opening Hours!

Thanks to everyone who gave us feedback recently on the Library opening hours and who participated in the Student IT Skills Survey

The Student IT Skills Survey will be used to assist us in our planning to ensure students have access to the facilities and support they require. The lucky winner of the iPOD Shuffle was Amanda Lomax, Painting & Printmaking exchange student, pictured above.

Library Opening Hours have been increased a result of your feedback. The Library is now opening at 9am with services beginning at 9.15am. Saturday opening will remain from 12-4pm during term. We have also made provision to have IT support available during evening opening until 7pm Monday – Thursday.


Term time
Monday – Thursday 9am – 8pm (services begin at 9.15am)
Friday 9am – 5pm (services begin at 9.15am)
Saturday 12 noon – 4pm

Monday – Friday 9am – 4.45pm (services begin at 9.15am)

Curator's Talk

Peter Trowles, Mackintosh Curator will provide a short 20-minute overview “The history and significance of the GSA’s collection of furniture by Charles Rennie Mackintosh”.
As one of the largest public collections of Mackintosh’s work anywhere, the GSA Collection has recently been awarded Significance status by Museums & Galleries Scotland. The GSA now joins a list of some 30 other Scottish museum and gallery collections that are recognised as being of National Significance to Scotland.
